Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about Project Rebound, community servers, downloads, and connection troubleshooting.

01

About the project

What is Project Rebound?

Project Rebound is a community initiative that restores the infrastructure players need to discover and connect to community-run Boundary servers.

Do I need an account to browse servers?

No. The public server browser can be used without signing in. Individual servers may publish their own rules or access requirements.

02

Playing and connecting

How do I start playing?

Open the server browser, choose a community server, then follow the address and connection instructions shown by that server. The complete setup flow is available in Docs.

Why is the server list empty?

Clear active filters and refresh first. If the list stays empty, the listing service may be temporarily unavailable or no server is currently reporting a valid heartbeat.

What should I check when a connection fails?

Confirm the server address, check that the server is still listed, and review any server-specific instructions. The Docs site contains the longer troubleshooting checklist.

03

Downloads and hosting

Where can I download the toolbox?

Use the Download area on the home page. The button is enabled only after a valid HTTPS download API has been configured by the project operator.

Can I host a community server?

Yes. Project Rebound is built around community-run infrastructure. Read the server-hosting guide in Docs before publishing a server.
